The location of country is under the influence of monsoons. The monsoon starts from Siberia and blows during the months of September and October as well as March and April. However, it decreases when it goes southwards and cause dry and cold winters while creating a temperature difference of nearly 40 degrees between north region and south region. The temperature during winter season is 5 to 18 degrees centigrade lower than in other countries lying on same latitude during winter. There are great differences in climate from region to region due to complex topography. For example- Heilongjiang Province has no summer while Hainan Island experience no winters.

On getting admission in any of the medical universities, the students are given the option to either stay in college campus or take a room in PG, nearby college. A seat in college hostel costs less than staying in a private accommodation. However, all necessary facilities are provided in both types of accommodation.
